Party!

Oh hey everybody. So this is the delightful little website for our wedding. We're using this page to answer some potentially serious questions like:

"When are we doing this thing?"

"Where is this shin-dig, huh?"

"What kind of awesome gift should I get them?"

"Can I bring my kids along?"

And any other queries you might have (you can post questions in the comment section & we'll answer them ASAP).


What/When:

October 10th, 2009 in the evening. It's gonna be a ceremony followed by a cocktail reception with appetizers & one heck of a dance party. That means no dinner. That means eat dinner before coming.


Location:

This is all going down at Lago Bar & Grill's Vista banquet room at Dow's Lake Pavilion. It's a swanky (but not TOO swanky), modern room with a beautiful view of Dow's Lake. Trust us, it's terrific. Also, it's next door to Mexicali Rosa's, so if somehow you managed to ignore the above information and show up NOT having eaten dinner, you can dig in to some fajitas or a bean burrito.


Tokens of Your Affection:

As reluctant as were to create a gift registry, we were assured over and over again that it's simply the way to go. Having said this, we're very lucky to have a slew of very creative and talented friends and family, and we would be THRILLED to receive something you made with your own two hands. Like, THRILLED.

Kids:

As the ceremony is only scheduled to begin at 7:30pm with a cocktail party to follow, it's gonna be a late, grown-up kind of evening. We respectfully insist that you leave the kiddos at home for this one!


Attire:

No weird theme or anything. Just look nice. We certainly will.


Wedding Party:

Maid of Honour: Katrina Guy

Katrina has been our best friend and neighbour for close to ten years. There's probably not another human on Earth who knows both of us as well as Katrina does, nor has anyone done more for us than she has.


Best Man: Alex Thurston

Alex has also been one of our best friends since the ninth grade. Dave's closest friend, confidant & near-twin, Alex is easily the most generous, selfless and terrific guy we know.


Bridesmaids: (L-R) Lauren Jolly, Emily Meyers, Amanda Proffitt

Jessica's best pals & go-to gals. Having grown up as an only girl with three brothers, Jessica missed out on growing up with sisters, but feels very lucky to have these girls who are truly family.


Groomsmen: (L-R) Matt McCracken, Chris Farrell, Mitchell Ethier

Three of Dave's best guys - two of whom he grew up alongside (right in their homes most of the time - thanks McCrackens & Ethiers!) and one who he met later in life but feels as much a family member as the others. Matt & his twin bro Andrew also designed the delightful SAVE THE DATE you saw at the top of this page. Thanks boys! Check out their other work here.
